Flame characters, tutorial on using wind filter to create flame characters – Flame characters

1. Use PS to open the text material below (it is recommended that you use the brush tool to draw the text you want when practicing)

Press Ctrl + N to create a new canvas with a size of 1500 * 1000 pixels and a resolution of 72. After confirmation, fill the background with black; then use the move tool to drag the text material into the new canvas and place it near the bottom area. The effect is as shown below 2. You can also enter the text you want yourself.

2. Hold down Ctrl + left-click the text thumbnail in the layer panel to load the text selection, as shown below.

3. Enter the channel panel and click the New button below to create a new channel, as shown below.

4. Use the paint bucket tool to fill the selection with white. After canceling the selection, the effect is as shown below.

Use a magnifying glass to enlarge the text to a suitable proportion, then select the first tool in the toolbox, set the brush pressure to 50, and then smear on the text; when smearing, you should combine the characteristics of the flame and paint out the flame, first upwards Apply, then adjust the size of the brush and paint in an arc, and paint a little thinner at the top.

This step may take a lot of time. You need to paint every part of the text with smoother flames.Then press the OK button to return to the layer panel, the effect is as shown in Figure 20.

14. If you are not satisfied with the part after applying it, you can use the liquefaction filter to modify it again. After you are generally satisfied, the effect is as shown below.

15. Press Ctrl + J to copy the current liquefied text layer. After locking the transparency pixel area, use the paint bucket tool to fill it with orange: #FAB000, and then change the blending mode to “Color Dodge”. The effect is as follows .
