Burning newspaper effect

1. Create a new file. Create a new layer 1, then click the “Add Layer Mask” button at the bottom of the layer panel to add a layer mask to the layer, select the “Lasso Tool” in the toolbox, and click Draw a selection as shown in Figure 01 in the image window.

2. Keep the selection and fill the mask with black. Execute the “Filter”, “Brush Stroke” and “Splash” commands in the menu bar, and set the spray radius and smoothness to 10 in the dialog box that opens. The effect is shown in Figure 02.

7. Open a newspaperPicture, drag the newspaper into the file to generate layer 4, adjust the size and position, as shown in Figure 08.

8. Select layer 4 and press the Alt Ctrl G key. The effect is as shown in Figure 09. Then press the Ctrl Shift U key to remove the color from the newspaper. The effect is shown in Figure 10.

9. Press the Ctrl U key to open the Hue/Saturation dialog box. The settings are as shown in Figure 11. Adjust the color of Newspaper appropriately. The effect is as shown in Figure 12.

10. Set the layer blending mode of layer 4 to “Multiply”. The effect is shown in Figure 13. Then add a layer mask to layer 4. Select the “Brush Tool” in the toolbox, set the opacity to 60% in the property bar, and apply appropriate paint to the areas with words on the burning edge to make the effect more natural, as shown in Figure 14 shown.

11. Finally, add a little image to the background layer. The final effect is as shown in Figure 15.
