First adjust the overall tone of the photo in LR, then transfer to PS to use Gaussian blur to create a dreamy effect, and then do a little color modification. It is very simple, let’s learn together.
Words written before: *The tutorial only provides you with an idea for editing pictures. The pre-planning of each set of films as well as the costumes, scenes, models, lighting and other factors all affect the post-processing required. questions, do not copy them. *When doing post-processing, try not to make random adjustments without any idea. You should consider the general idea of post-processing in the early stage of shooting, so that the work can be more in line with your original intention. *In addition, using less presets will make people lazy. Try every set of works to have new breakthroughs, different tones, and more changes. This set of tutorials includes pre-planning and post-retouching ideas. Without further ado, let’s get to the point:
■Scene pictures and shooting ideas when stepping on the spot
Personally, I am used to visiting the location before shooting. On the day I visited the location, I found that the background was a field of flowers (I don’t know exactly what kind of flowers it was). If I want to take good photos in this place, I must be different. Therefore, I thought of adjusting it towards the aesthetic dream in the later stage. Generally when shooting, I have to think about which direction to adjust in post-production. I need to have that picture in my mind and shoot with post-production ideas. As far as this scene is concerned, if you only look at it from the front, the background will appear very flat, so I brought a ladder with me on the day of the shooting so that I could shoot some large scenes from above. In this way, the perspective of the work will be richer and more attractive. .
■LR initial adjustment
First, enter LR and make simple adjustments, mainly the character’s skin color, overall exposure, and color restoration.
Comparison picture before and after LR adjustment
The original film will generally turn gray, so the exposure should be processed first, as shown below:
Adjust the color temperature and pull it to the right to create a warmer effect, as shown in the picture:
Next, adjust the saturation appropriately, as shown in the figure:
Then process the curve: For this S-shaped curve, first click the center point, and then pull it up and down. The upper point controls the highlights. Pull it up to brighten the face; the lower point controls the dark parts. Pull it down to darken the background. The specific parameters are still determined based on the pictures, and changes should be made appropriately.
After the above basic adjustments, it is found that the skin is not very clean. Here you can use the color adjustment to process the skin separately, and adjust the brightness and saturation of the orange. The effect is as follows:
*Tips: Make good use of adjusting colors, and you may get unexpected results, such as adjusting the color of leaves, the saturation of the sky, etc.
Adding some dark corners appropriately can make the atmosphere stronger. At this point, the basic adjustment of LR is completed, and then we move on to PS adjustment.
■PS fine adjustment
After importing into PS, first perform liquefaction and dermabrasion, use stamps and repair tools to deal with facial flaws, and liquefy to modify the face and body without distortion. I believe everyone knows this part, so I won’t go into details. 1. Atmosphere color adjustment First adjust the optional colors yellow and green, as follows:
This step is mainly to process the leaves to make them yellower to better create a beautiful effect. When adjusting, you can try moving it until it feels right, and it’s OK.
2. Create soft light effect The most critical step has arrived, open your eyes and take a good look. Press ctrl+alt+shift+e to merge the visible layers, select Filter-Blur-Gaussian Blur, set the value to around 7.5, and set the layer properties to “Brighten”. You will find that something magical has happened, the flower will glow. Appeared.
Then you can create a mask on this layer and erase the parts that don’t need to shine, such as skin.
At this time, I found that the whole thing was a little too bright, so I created a curve with the parameters as shown in the figure:
This adjustment only targets the dark parts, will not affect the character’s skin color, and will make the overall atmosphere stronger.
3. Improve the atmosphere again Create a new orange solid color layer, set the layer properties to bright, and the opacity is about 5%, as shown in the picture:
This step is mainly to adjust the overall color, which is more yellowish and more dreamy.
The last adjustment to the optional color is to adjust the optional color yellow, as follows:
At this point, the entire photo editing process is completed. Here are some comparison photos. I hope it will be helpful to you.
