The protagonist in this picture is a little girl with flowing hair. We want to dig it out. Channel is one method. However, we have just said that the extract command is more suitable for picking out fine hair, so maybe using extract is more suitable. . So is it suitable or not? Let’s try it out and gain experience from practice, haha.
1. After opening the picture, copy the background layer. Copy it three times in a row and select one of the layers, as shown in Figure 2.

Click the filter menu to execute the extract command, or directly use the shortcut key: CTRL+ALT+X to open the extract dialog box. Use the edge highlighter tool to apply on the parts we need to pick out, and then set them separately. The setting method is shown in Figure 3-6.

Supplement: I only painted the hair here because I considered that there is a certain difference between the color of the character and the background color, and it may be more accurate to use the pen tool. After the settings are completed, click the OK button in the upper right corner to get the effect shown in Figure 7.
