Filter special effects to create Western-style paintings.
Let’s take a look at the effect first:
What we are going to study next is to use photoshop to express the uneven effect of the oil painting surface. In creation, we use landscape painting as a reference object to express the rich brushstroke effect.
We first open a landscape picture, and then Copy it. Next, execute the “Image” → “Adjustment” → “Auto Levels” command in the menu bar.
Then select the “Image” → “Adjustment” → “Auto Levels” command in the menu bar. Then select the “Layer” → “New Fill Layer” → “Pattern” command in the menu bar, and set the blending mode to Multiply in the pop-up new layer dialog box.
Click OK after setting the new layer dialog box, as shown in the figure to set the pop-up pattern fill dialog box.
Copy the background layer to background copy 2, Place on top of all layers. Then select the smudge tool in the toolbar and smear it, the effect is as shown in the picture.
Now create a new layer and place it at the end On top, hide the background layer and pattern fill layer. Hold down the “Alt” key and click the triangle button in the upper right corner of the layers panel, and select Merge Visible Layers from the menu.
Next, select “Filter” in the menu bar Mirror” → “Stylize” → “Relief Effect” command. Set the Angle to 135 degrees, the Height to 4, and the Amount to 120%.
Set in the layers panel The blending mode of layer 1 is Overlay, as shown in the figure.
Select ” Layer” → “New Fill Layer” → “Pattern” command, set the blending mode to Overlay in the pop-up New Layer dialog box.
Set up the new layer dialog Click OK after setting the box, as shown in the pop-up pattern fill dialog box shown in the figure.
Set in the layers panel The opacity of the pattern fill 2 layer is 50%, and the layer blending mode is Color Burn.
