Use material overlay to bring out the final effect of nostalgic and warm tones in photos
The following are detailed photoshop tutorial steps:
-1. Open the original image material and press Ctrl + J to duplicate the background layer.
2. Open the channel panel, press Ctrl to click the RGB channel to bring up the highlight selection (you can press Ctrl + ALt + ~ directly, the CS4 version is Ctrl + ALt + 2).
3. Return to the Layers panel, fill the selected area with white (2-3 times).
4. Merge all layers, open the material shown in the picture below, drag it in and change the layer blending mode to “Overlay” and the layer opacity to: 80%.
5. Add the material layer mask with black brushes to wipe out the characters.
6. Then drag in material 2 and change the blending mode of layer 2 to “Soft Light” and the layer opacity to: 80%. Add a layer mask and use a black brush to erase the character part.
-7. Merge the visible layers, and then use the Topaz filter to sharpen it. The parameter settings are as shown below.
8. Finally add text to complete the final effect.
