Photoshop Advertising Special Effects Production: Image Preprocessing This time we will use a photo as the basis to create an advertising special effect.
The overall processing process is divided into two steps:
The first step is image pre-processing, that is, image retouching, background removal, color adjustment and background change, etc.;
The second step is to create the perforation effect. The shape of the perforation should be in harmony with the clothes. The inner wall of the perforation should have the correct spatial perspective. What needs to be paid attention to is the color light and shade in the perforation. They should be in harmony with the clothes and the environment. Is this true or not? key.

Final completed picture
In this article, we will first introduce the first step, Image preprocessing.
① Trim off the pattern on the clothes
Open the file named “Original Image”, and when using the Stamp Tool (S), pay attention to choosing a “soft” stroke with soft edges. It is more convenient to refer to the widest point of the logo stroke as the diameter. When retouching the picture, please pay attention to the direction of the copy point and the retouching point as much as possible according to the direction of the circular line in the picture, and pay attention to maintaining the integrity of the clothing folds pointed by the arrow
When retouching, you should constantly observe the color, light and shade of the overall image. Is it harmonious?
jpg” width=358 onload=”return imgzoom(this,700);” onclick=”javascript:window.open(this.src);” style=”cursor: pointer;”/>
Note: Why must the logo on clothes be removed?
As an advertisement, the appearance of a company logo that is meaningless to itself will mislead consumers. In addition, “in one’s own advertisement This is also unacceptable to advertisers.
② Character retreat
Idea: Due to the difference in shape between hair and body, you can use the extraction command for the hair, and use the path to retreat the body part. The quality of the base will be better, so the entire base removal is divided into two parts: the hair and the body.
When you encounter the intersection between the hair and the body when drawing the path, you must draw less hair. Don’t forget that the part pointed by the arrow must be drawn.
Transfer the path to the selected area, copy the original layer and obtain the backing of the body part.
Copy the original layer and enter the Extract command. Note that the edge of each hair must be drawn with the marker pen. The edge of the entire marker must be closed.
After filling the reserved area, adjust the smoothness on the right side to an appropriate level (86 in this example). You can use the preview multiple times to observe the adjustment effect during adjustment.
Merge the hair layer and the body layer into one layer and prepare for color grading. The background of the design is mainly red, so the color palette will be mainly reddish.
Use the curve command to input 188 for the red channel and output it.207, green channel input 190 output 196, RGB channel input 125 output 148.
Note: Why not use channel backing to process hair?
The background color is not very different from the hair, which brings a lot of trouble to the channel backing. Trouble, at the same time, observe that the effect of pulling out the bottom is not too bad.
③ Facial modification
Create a new layer, use bright red (R255) to spray soft-edged circles on the face, layer blending settings: color mode, adjust the opacity appropriately, because the right The profile of the face is darker and redder, and the opacity can be lower, such as the arrow
Create a new layer of “tea surface_lower edge is not blurry”, transfer the path to the selection, and fill it with the color of the tea (in this case R:147, G:71, B:45).
Duplicate the character layer and apply a Gaussian blur of about 5 to make the skin “smooth” to a commercially pleasing level.
Create a mask on the blur layer, use black to carefully hide important parts such as facial features (use a small brush), and erase the background other than the skin (use a large brush).
Superimpose the blur layer on the original character layer to complete.
In order not to make the empty expression too happy, after merging the face-related layers, use the liquefy command Ctrl shift , lower the eyelids, lower the corners of the mouth, and lift the middle of the lips. The deformation should be moderate and not excessive.
Use airbrush with soft small strokes on the lips. You can choose the color (in this example, R255 B93). Layer Blending: Set color mode and opacity to 40.
Create a new layer, set the layer blending mode to overlay, use small strokes, black, and deepen the lower part of the lower lip to make the lips “stand out” and express the character’s expression.
Generally speaking, the color palette is mainly commercial and bright, but you have to have a good sense of proportion, otherwise it will be suspected of being too “fake”.
④ Background production
Create a new layer under the character layer and fill it with a circular gradient from magenta (R255 B223) to red (R255).
Copy the gradient layer and use the filter to add a noise value of 69
Gaussian blur 5
Use the Hue/Saturation command to reduce the saturation to 0 and adjust the color to grayscale.
Layer blending sets linear light mode, superimposed on the original gradient layer.
Create a new layer above the noise layer, and use the airbrush to draw a round shape with soft edges.
Set the layer blending mode to overlay to complete the background production.
For background and character synthesis effects, copy the completed image and save it as a PSD file for subsequent replacement in the second step.
But now the picture has no novelty and lacks the value of changing background. The overall performance effect is to focus on the piercings on the model. Only the simple background with gradient color will strengthen this visual concentration. So why not use the background in the original image? ——The colors are too plain and lack a commercial atmosphere.
