Channel cutout is also a method we often use in clipping images. Using channel clipping, we mainly use the hue difference or brightness difference of the image, and use different methods to create selections for our images.
Before making a picture, I first hope that everyone can understand the truth. An RGB mode image is represented by the numerical values of the three primary colors of red, green and blue; and in the channel, an RGB mode image is nothing more than Each color of the picture is displayed on the channel panel in the form of a single color, and each single color will record the different brightness of each color. To put it simply: there is only one color (red, green, blue) in the channel. ) of different brightness, which is a grayscale image. In the channel, the brighter it is, the higher the value of the color is. It has this characteristic. Therefore, we can use the contrast of the channel brightness to perform image deduction, because it is the mapping of the selected area. In addition, you can also save the selected selection to the channel.
In the channel, white represents presence and black represents absence. It is displayed by three brightnesses of black, white and gray. It can also be said like this: If we want to deduct a certain part of the picture, that is, make a selection , just adjust this part to white in the channel.

1. When we get a picture, we should first analyze what method is more suitable for this picture and achieve better results. Open this picture, and after observation, you can see that the gap between the background and foreground colors of the picture is relatively large, so we can completely use the channel method to do it.
2. The analysis is completed, and the channel scheme is designated. Now start the implementation. Open the channel panel, and then observe each channel on the channel panel to see which one has a greater hue difference between the background and foreground colors.
We mentioned before that using channels to make selections is mainly done through the brightness difference of the hue difference between the image background and the foreground color. In this picture, we find that in the channel panel, green and Blue can be used, but green has a greater contrast, so here I chose the green channel as the target. Okay, let’s start:
3. In order not to destroy the original image, we copy the green channel and get it as shown in Figure 2:

4. Maximize the picture so that it is easy to operate. In order to have a more obvious difference between the color brightness of the characters in the picture and the background, we use the curve method to adjust the brightness contrast of the picture. As shown in Figure 3, this is adjusted using a curve. MM:

5． Because we have said above that white means “there” in the passage, and what we want is the character MM. But at this time, the MM we want is black, so it is easy to do. Just reverse the color. Okay, the shortcut key is: CTRL+I. At this time, you will get the effect as shown in Figure 4:

6. Okay, almost all of the hair on the character MM that is hard to pin is white, but there are still some parts that are not, so what should I do? Come on, let’s use an eraser to wipe him together. In order to avoid mistakes, we maximize the picture and make the background white, as shown in Figure 5:

7． Of course, after the character is wiped, adjust the background color to black and wipe the background around the character MM black. The final effect is shown in Figure 6:

8. Okay, let’s load the white character MM into the selection.
9. Returning to the layer panel, you will find that the character MM has been easily detached and placed in the selection, as shown in Figure 7.

10. Save the MM in the selection to another layer so that we can give it a beautiful background. Shortcut key: CTRL+j, which means copying the selection to a new layer.
11. Add a new layer, fill it with color or drag a picture directly to this picture, as shown in Figure 8:

If the effect is not very good, like this picture, because it is cut off on an approximately white background, the characters If there are white edges around it, just go to Layer Menu/Trim/Remove White Edges and trim it.
