It is also operated in ab mode, but the author uses curves and application images to achieve the production of abaose. The method of making is also very simple.

1. Open the material picture and select the menu: Image > Mode > Lab Mode. Create a curve adjustment layer and adjust the parameters for the a, b, and brightness channels respectively as shown below.

2. Create a Levels adjustment layer, select the brightness channel, and adjust the black point slider to enhance the dark tones of the photo.

3. Create a new layer and press Ctrl + Alt + Shift + E to stamp the layer, select the menu: Image > Apply Image, and set the parameters as shown below.

4. Select the menu: Image > Mode > RGB Mode, and then smooth the skin off the character to complete the final effect.
