Good-looking cartoon characters can be seen everywhere and are relatively easy to make. Because these are not realistic, there are not many details. Just use the selection tool to make a path and add some gradients and highlights. It’s ready in no time.
Final effect
1. Create a new 600 * 600 pixel file with a background Fill it with white, create a new layer and name it “face outline”, use a pen to outline the selection shown in Figure 1, select the gradient tool, set the color as shown in Figure 2, and pull out the radial gradient as shown in Figure 3.
2. Create a new layer and outline the image with a pen Fill the selection area shown in 4 with black. After canceling the selection, bring up the “Face Outline” selection area. Press Ctrl + Shift + I to invert the selection. Press Delete to delete the excess part. The effect is as shown in Figure 5.
3. Create a new layer and outline the image with a pen For the selection shown in 6, press Ctrl + Alt + D to feather 15 pixels, fill color: #FEE865, cancel the selection and press Ctrl + J to copy a layer, the effect is as shown in Figure 7.
4. Create a new layer and use the Elliptical Marquee Tool Draw a smaller perfect circle selection, as shown in Figure 8. Select the gradient tool, set the color as shown in Figure 9, and pull out the radial gradient as shown in Figure 10.
5. Create a new layer and outline the image with a pen Fill the selection shown in 11 with black, and use a white brush to paint the bottom with white. The other eyeball part is made in the same way, and the effect is as shown in Figure 12.
6. Simply add some projection to the eyes, the effect is as shown below .

9. Use a pen to draw a few paths and then stroke them Use black as the beard, and use the eraser tool to paint off a little bit of the top.
10. Create a new layer and use the Elliptical Marquee Tool Pull up the elliptical selection shown in Figure 17, select the gradient tool, set the color as shown in Figure 18, and pull out the radial gradient as shown in Figure 19.
11. Select the Dodge tool to fill the top of the shape just now Brighten it a little, and the effect is as shown below.
12. Create a new layer and outline the image with a pen The selection shown in 21 is filled with color #F6D484.��Cancel the selection, create a new layer and fill it with color: #FFEF5F. After canceling the selection, move the graphic a few squares to the left and delete the excess part. The effect is as shown in Figure 22.
13. Create a new layer and outline the image with a pen For the selection shown in 23, feather 3 pixels and then fill it with dark red. After canceling the selection, delete the excess.
14. Create a new layer and make eyes in the same way as above and other facial features, as shown in Figures 24 and 25.
15. Create a new layer above the background layer. Use a pen to outline the selection shown in Figure 26, and draw in the linear gradient color shown on the left.
16. Create a new layer and outline the selection of the inner ear. , pull up the linear gradient from dark red to black, the effect is as shown below.
17. Create a new layer and outline the highlights with a pen For part of the selection, feather it appropriately by 5 pixels and then fill it with the color: #FFF7AF. The effect is as shown in Figure 28. The other ear is made in the same way, and the effect is as shown in Figure 29.
18. Finally adjust the details to complete the final effect.
