This tutorial is about using polar coordinates in Photoshop to create a radial text effect. By using polar coordinates to transform the layer, and by executing the wind filter, you can form horizontal or vertical pixels into a ring or radial shape. The tutorial is suitable for beginners to learn from, I hope you like it.
Use polar coordinates to transform the layer, perform some operations and then transform it back, so that some horizontal or vertical pixels can be turned into a ring or radial shape. I believe that everyone has a certain understanding of polar coordinates. If you don’t understand the application of polar coordinates, you might as well use polar coordinates to create radioactive text effects through the following tutorial! Let’s take a look at the renderings first:
Rendering
Start the production steps:
1. Create a new image (preferably a square size), set the background to black, and then enter white text, as shown below.

2. Duplicate the text layer, use a polar coordinate filter on it (the text layer will be rasterized), and set it as shown on the left. The effect is as shown in the middle picture below. The layers palette is as shown on the right.

3. Continue to use [Filter_Stylize_Wind] on this layer, and select the direction from right. , as shown on the left. Then run the filter again with the direction selected from left. Rotate the layer 90 degrees through Free Transform〖CTRL_T〗, and repeat the above two steps of filter operations. In this way, a total of 4 wind filter operations were performed. When finished, rotate the layer back to its original angle. The resulting image is shown below on the right.

4. Use the polar coordinate filter again on the layer that has been subjected to the wind filter 4 times. The settings are as shown on the left. You can get the effect as shown in the middle picture below. You can use color adjustment to get further effects, as shown on the right below.

Summary: Use polar coordinates to transform the layer, perform some operations and then transform it back, so that some horizontal or vertical pixels can be turned into a ring or radial shape. If you repeat the wind filter multiple times, you can create longer lines, and thus longer loops in the final effect.
