The focus of this tutorial is on the flower part. Careful friends will soon discover that flowers are actually symmetrical figures composed of many petals. When making, make a petal and then copy it according to a certain pattern. In order to make the petals look more beautiful, you can change the transparency of the petals appropriately.
Final effect
1. Before making the wallpaper, make the flower part first. Create a new document of 800 * 600 pixels, and fill the background with dark red: #600001, as shown below.
2. Create a new layer, use a pen to outline a petal selection as shown in Figure 2, select the gradient tool, set the color as shown in Figure 3, and pull out the linear gradient shown in Figure 4.
3. Set the opacity of the petal layer to: 70%, press Ctrl + R to bring up the ruler, and pull two intersecting guide lines, as shown below.
4. Press Ctrl + J to copy the petals layer, press Ctrl + T to transform, move the center point to the intersection of the reference lines, set the angle to 36 degrees, as shown below, and press Enter to confirm.
5. Hold down Ctrl + Shift + Alt + T and keep copying until it forms a complete circle. In order to highlight the layers of the flower, change the opacity of the odd-numbered petal layer among the 10 petals to: 50%, and leave the others unchanged at 70%. The effect is as shown below.
6. Call up a selection of petals, create a new layer on top of the layer, select the menu: Edit > Stroke, and set the parameters as shown in Figure 8. After confirmation, move the shape slightly downwards by a few pixels, as shown in Figure 8. Change the layer opacity to: 65%, then duplicate it as above, this time at an angle of 60 degrees.
7. Create a new layer, use the Elliptical Marquee Tool to draw a perfect circle selection in the center of the flower, press Ctrl + Alt + D to feather 20 pixels, and fill it with color: #FD9700.
8. Create a new layer, use a pen to outline a selection of the stamens, fill it with yellow, and then continue to copy it. The effect is as shown below.
9. Copy the white stamen again, the effect is as shown below.
10. Create a new layer, use the Elliptical Marquee Tool to make a smaller circular selection, and then add the radial gradient shown on the right.
11. Use the same method to make other gradient balls. The effect is as shown in Figures 14 and 15.
12. Adjust some details, and then merge the layers of the flower part. The effect is as shown below.
13. Create a new wallpaper-sized document, select the gradient tool, set the color as shown in Figure 17, and pull out the radial gradient shown in Figure 18 from the upper left corner to the lower right.
14. Drag the finished flowers in, copy a few more layers, and adjust the size and position appropriately. The effect is as shown below.
15. Create a new layer above the background layer and set the foreground color to red. Select the brush tool, set the hardness of the brush to: 100%, set the opacity of the brush to: about 8%, and then click on some small circles, the effect is as shown below.
16. Finally, adjust the details and add decorative text to complete the final effect.
