This tutorial is an in-depth and simple method of making Christmas festive candles. The main color of the candle is gold. When making it, you only need to use the selection tool to make the shape of the candle, and then add the golden gradient color. Just add some Christmas decoration elements and flames around it.
Final effect
1. Create a new document of 1024 * 768 pixels, select the gradient tool color settings as shown in Figure 1, and pull out the radial gradient shown in Figure 2 from the center to the corners.
2. Create a new layer, use the pen tool to outline the selection shown in Figure 3, select the gradient tool, set the color as shown in Figure 4, and pull out the linear gradient shown in Figure 5.
3. Copy the finished graphic one layer, press Ctrl + T to slightly change the angle, and then adjust the color appropriately after confirmation, and then copy several layers to form the graphic shown in Figure 7.
4. Merge the leaf layers you just made, then adjust the angle and size appropriately, and then copy more according to a certain arc to form a branch. The process is shown in Figures 8 and 9.
5. Merge the layers that make up the branches, then create a new layer below the current layer, use a pen to outline the selection shown in Figure 10, and fill it with color: #AA5B00. The effect is as shown in Figure 11.
6. Copy the finished branches several more layers to create the effect shown in the picture below.
7. Create a new layer above the branch layer, use a pen to outline the selection shown in Figure 13, select the gradient tool, set the color as shown in Figure 14, and pull out the linear gradient shown in Figure 15.
8. Create a new layer, use the pen tool to outline the selection shown in Figure 16 and fill it with red, and then copy the resulting shape several more layers, as shown in Figure 17. Then merge this red layer.
9. After locking the layer, select the gradient tool. Set the color as shown in Figure 18. Pull out the linear gradient from left to right. After confirming, delete the parts other than the candle. The effect is as shown in Figure 19.
10. Create a new layer, use the rectangular marquee tool to pull out the selection shown in Figure 20, fill it with color: #FDD601, change the layer blending mode to “Color Dodge”, and change the opacity to: 40%. The effect is shown in Figure 21. Use the same method to create several more highlights, the effect is as shown in Figure 22.
11. Create a new layer, use the Elliptical Marquee Tool to pull out the selection shown in Figure 23, and pull up the linear gradient shown in Figure 24. After confirming, create a new layer, use the Elliptical Marquee Tool to draw a slightly elliptical selection, and also draw the linear gradient shown in Figure 24. The effect is as shown in Figure 25.
12. Create a new layer and use the same method to create the flame part. The effect is as shown below.
13. Make a copy of the finished candle and adjust the position and size appropriately. The effect is as shown below.
14. Add a bow, the effect is as shown below.
Finally, add a shadow to modify the details to complete the final effect.
