Create a three-dimensional and beautiful font in this tutorial. The steps are simple and mainly created using blending modes and layer styles. I will show you how to add some patterns to the letters to create a great artistic text effect.

Look at the renderings first

1. Open Adobe Photoshop software, execute menu: “File”/”New” (shortcut key Ctrl+N), the new dialog box will pop up, name: glossy font effect, width: 468 pixels, height: 192 pixels, Resolution: 72 pixels/inch, color mode: RGB color, 8-bit, background content: white, click the OK button after setting, as shown in Figure 1.

2. Execute menu: “File”/”Place”, place material 1, adjust it to the appropriate position and size, and select the text tool to input English, set the text attributes, refer to Figure 2, as shown in Figure 2 .

3. Select the font layer, double-click the text layer to enter the layer style, and check the Drop Shadow, Inner Shadow, Inner Glow, Bevel and Emboss, and Gloss options respectively. Click the Create New Layer button on the Layers Panel, create a new layer, select the Custom Shape Tool in the toolbox, set it to path mode in the tool options bar, and select “Star” in the shape list.
