This tutorial uses Photoshop to design and produce. The tools used mainly include layer styles, gradient fills, text tools, etc. The purpose is to create a festive atmosphere, create New Year-themed works by hand, and wish relatives and friends a happy New Year. Production steps:
1. Select the “File/New” menu, open the “New” or Ctrl+N dialog box with the name: New Year’s Day Celebration Poster, width: 1024 pixels, height: 768 pixels, “Resolution” is 72, and “Mode” is RGB color document, and then click the OK button, as shown in Figure 1.

2. Select the gradient tool in the toolbox (shortcut key G), set it to radial gradient in the tool options bar, and then click the editable gradient to pop up the gradient editor. Double-click A in Figure 2 and set the color RGB to 236, 14, and 19 respectively. Then double-click B as shown in Figure 2, and set RGB to 172, 0, and 0 respectively, as shown in Figure 2. The effect diagram is shown in Figure 3.

3. Execute the menu: “File”/”Import” pattern material and lantern material, and adjust the size and move the position, and place them in the appropriate position, as shown in Figure 4.

4. Select the text tool in the toolbox, enter the words “Happy New Year’s Day” respectively, and set the font sizes to different sizes. Set in the tool options bar with reference to Figure 5, as shown in Figure 5.

5. Double-click the text to enter the layer style, and check the projection option respectively. Refer to Figure 6 for setting values, and the effect diagram is shown in Figure 6.

6. The other methods are the same as step 5, as shown in Figure 7.

7. Execute the menu: “File”/”Import” firecracker material and character material, and adjust the size and move position, place it in the appropriate position, and add a mask to the character material, set the brush to 200 pixels, and the opacity to 20 to about 30, as shown in Figure 8.

8. Select the text tool in the toolbox, enter the words “Happy New Year’s Day” respectively, and set the font sizes to different sizes. Set the reference in the tool options bar, as shown in Figure 9.

Click the New Layer button in the Layer Control Panel, name it Circle, select the Ellipse Tool in the toolbox, drag an elliptical selection in the workspace, select the Toolbox Gradient Tool (shortcut key G), and click on the Tool Options Bar Set it to a radial gradient, then click to edit the gradient to bring up the gradient editor. Double-click A in Figure 2 and set the color RGB to 236, 14, and 19 respectively. Double-click B as shown in Figure 2, set RGB to 172, 0, and 0 respectively, and then press the shortcut key Ctrl+D to cancel the selection state, as shown in Figures 10 and 11. The rendering is shown in Figure 12.

10. Double-click the text to enter the layer style, and check the glow option respectively. Refer to Figure 13 for setting the values, as shown in Figure 13. The rendering is shown in Figure 14.

14. Select the text tool in the toolbox, enter the words “Geng Yin Nian, Hu Gang Ba Yun, 2010” respectively, and set the font position and distance. Set the reference figure 20 in the tool options bar, as shown in Figure 20.

Click the New Layer button in the Layer Control Panel, select the Rectangle Tool in the toolbox, drag out a rectangular shape in the workspace, set the foreground color to white, press the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+Enter to convert it to a selection, and then press Use the keyboard shortcut Alt+Delete to fill in, and then press the shortcut Ctrl+D to deselect the state, as shown in Figure 21.
