This tutorial uses Photoshop’s layer styles, filters, etc. to create special effects for the Golden Flower game button. After completing this section, the tools you will apply are: shape tool, pen; the filters applied are: Add Noise filter; the layer styles applied: Inner Shadow, Inner Glow, Bevel and Emboss, Glossy , Color Overlay, Gradient Overlay check options. I hope that through the simple tutorials, everyone can draw inferences and create the effects you want! Let’s take a look at the renderings first:

Production steps:
1. Open the Photoshop CS3 software, execute the menu: “File”/”New” (shortcut key Ctrl+N), a new dialog box will pop up, set the name: Make a Golden Flower Game Button, width: 800 pixels, height: 600 pixels, resolution: 72 pixels/inch, color mode: RGB color, 8-bit, background content: white, click the OK button after setting, as shown in Figure 1.

2. Click the New Layer button in the layer control panel to create a new layer, then set the foreground color to blue in the toolbox, press the shortcut keys Alt+Delete to fill the foreground color, and then execute the menu: “Filter” “Mirror”/”Noise” pops up the Add Noise dialog box, set the amount to 2%, the distribution to even distribution, check Single Color, and then click the OK button, as shown in Figure 2. The effect diagram is shown in Figure 3.

3. Create a new layer button, select the Ellipse tool in the toolbox, drag an ellipse shape in the workspace, select the foreground color in the toolbox, set the foreground color to light blue, and then press the keyboard shortcut Press Ctrl+D to cancel the selection, as shown in Figure 4.

4. Double-click the ellipse layer to enter the layer style, and check the Inner Shadow, Inner Glow, Bevel and Emboss, Gloss, Color Overlay, and Gradient Overlay options respectively. Set the inner shadow blending mode: Multiply, click on the color stop, set the shadow color to blue, Opacity: 90%, Angle: 90, Distance: 17 pixels, Expand: 30%, Size: 38 pixels, then click OK button, as shown in Figure 5.

5. Set other attribute values as shown in Figures 6, 7, 8, and 9 respectively.

6. Check the Gradient Overlay check box, set the reference value and refer to Figures 10 and 11. The effect is shown in Figure 12.

7. Click the Create New Layer button, select the Ellipse tool in the toolbox, drag an ellipse shape in the workspace, and then execute the menu: “Edit”/”Stroke” to pop up the stroke menu and set the stroke. The width is 5px, the color is blue, and then click the OK button, as shown in Figure 13.

8. Double-click the ellipse layer to enter the layer style, and check the drop shadow, inner shadow, bevel and embossing, and stroke options respectively. Refer to Figures 14, 15, 16, and 17 for setting the reference values of each item. The effect diagram is shown in Figure 18.

9. Click the horizontal text tool in the toolbox, enter I, and then set the font on the tool options bar: Chinese Xingkai, size: 42.69 points, color: blue, and set the anti-aliasing method: Sharp, then click to create text deformation, the deformation text dialog box will pop up, set the style to sector, check horizontal, bend to -23%, horizontal curve to 0%, vertical distortion to 0%, then click the OK button, and then double-click Enter the layer style for the text layer, check the stroke option, and set the stroke option value as shown in Figure 20, as shown in Figure 19.

10. Click the Create New Layer button, create a new layer, use the Rounded Rectangle tool in the toolbox, hold down Shift on the keyboard and drag it out in the workspace, and drag out a rounded rectangle, set the foreground color to white. Press the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+Enter to convert to a selection, press the keyboard shortcut Alt+Delete to fill the foreground color, press the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+D to cancel the selection, and adjust the direction and size, as shown in Figure 21.

11. Click the Create New Layer button on the Layers Panel, then use the Pen Tool to draw a heart shape, select Set Foreground Color in the toolbox, and set the foreground color to red to fill the heart. shape, press the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+Enter to convert it to a selection, then press the keyboard shortcut Alt+Delete to fill it, press the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+D to cancel the selection, and adjust the position and size, as shown in Figure 22.

Enter “A” after the cursor, and set the font to “Arial” in the tool options bar. Set the font size to “12 point”, set the anti-aliasing to “Sharp”, and set the font color to red, as shown in Figure 23.
