This tutorial introduces how to make common three-dimensional photo frames. When making, the pattern and border need to be made separately. The pattern part also consists of some small patterns and graphics, which also need to be made in layers. If you find it troublesome, you can download some pattern brushes to make them.
Final effect
The effect after adding pictures
1. Create a new file of 1024 * 768 pixels and fill the background with black. Create a new layer, use a pen to outline the path shown in Figure 1, turn it into a selection and select the gradient tool, set the color as shown in Figure 2, and pull out the linear gradient shown in Figure 3.
2. After locking the layer, select the Pen Tool, outline the selection shown in Figure 4, then select the Gradient Tool, set the color as shown in Figure 5, and pull out the linear gradient as shown in Figure 6.
3. Create a new layer, use a pen to outline the selection shown in Figure 7, and fill it with color: #FFFAB8. After locking the layer, use a pen to outline the dark selection, and apply the gradient color. The effect is as shown in Figure 8.
6. We are making other pattern parts in the same way. Divide into layers, make the upper layer first, then the lower layer. I use a pen to outline the selection and then apply gradient color. The effect is shown in Figure 11-16. Although the structure is a bit complicated, it is still relatively easy to make.
7. Create a new layer above the background layer, use a pen to outline the path shown in Figure 17, turn it into a selection, select the gradient tool, set the color as shown in Figure 18, and pull out the linear gradient as shown in Figure 19 . Do not cancel the selection after drawing the gradient.
8. Keep the selection, create a new layer, select the menu: Edit > Stroke, and set the parameters as shown in Figure 20. After confirmation, press Ctrl + D to cancel the selection, lock the layer and pull up the gradient color, the effect is as shown in Figure 21 .
9, 10. Use the burn and dodge tools to paint the highlights on the edges very darkly, as shown in Figures 22, 23, and 24.
11. Copy the finished border a few more times to create the effect shown in the picture below.
12. Create a new layer above the background layer, use a pen or a wing shape to pull out a wing, and add a gradient color, as shown in Figure 26, and copy the other wing, as shown in Figure 27.
13. Create a new layer, use a pen to outline the selection shown in the picture below, and fill it with black.
14. Add highlights and inner frame shadows, and the effect is as shown below.
15. Finally adjust the details to complete the final effect.
