Final effect

1 Open a seaside landscape photo, use “Filter > Blur > Gaussian Blur” and set it as follows.

Duplicate the layer and set the layer’s blending mode to “Color Burn” to get the following effect

Add a “Layer Mask” to the layer and use a large, soft-angled brush to paint the top color gray.

Click “Create new fill or adjustment layer” at the bottom of the layers panel to select the following adjustment layers

Color balance

Create a new layer, click “Layer>New Fill Layer>Gradient Fill”, and set it as follows.

Get the following effect

2. Open a picture with a sky, copy it to the canvas and name it “Sky”, use free transformation to put it in the appropriate position as shown below

Use a large soft-angled “eraser” to erase the part under the sky

Add a “Curves” layer adjustment option

Duplicate a layer, use “Filter>Blur>Motion Blur” and set it as follows

Change the blending option of the blurred layer to “Screen” to get the following effect

3. Open the rock image, select a piece, load it into the canvas, and name it “Island”.

Add a “Color Balance” layer adjustment option

Duplicate the “island” layer three times and change the blending mode as shown below

Get the following effect

4. Draw some waterfalls on the island��Open the “Monuments” image and load it to the canvas.

Name the layer “Broken” and use a soft-angled small “eraser” to erase the surrounding area

Duplicate and flip the “Broken” layer once and place it on the island, as shown below

5. Open the “Woman” photo, select it and copy it to the canvas, resize it and put it in a suitable position, as shown in the picture below

Add the following three layer adjustment options

Curve

Color balance

Brightness/Contrast

Copy the woman layer and set the layer’s blending mode to “Multiply” to get the following effect

Create a new layer and place it below the woman layer. Use a black soft-angle brush, adjust the image transparency and flow to 50%, and draw a shadow

6. To adjust the entire effect. Add the following two adjustment layers

Color balance

In the color balance layer mask, adjust the opacity to paint the sky, then adjust the opacity to the highest level and paint out the castle. No color balance adjustment is required for these operations

Brightness/Contrast

Paint out the sky and sea in the layer mask without adjusting the brightness and contrast

Get the following effect

7. Now adjust the effect of the image. Merge the layers and use “Sharpen > Smart Sharpen” to make adjustments as shown below.

Duplicate the background layer and use “Filter > Blur > Radial Blur” to add lighting

Change the blending mode to “Screen” and set the opacity to 40% to get the final effect
