1. The first step for each picture is basically to adjust the image size first. I like to directly adjust the resolution to 300 and the width to within 20 (about the same size as A4 paper)
2. Then perform microdermabrasion, which actually means to eliminate some rough spots. The general value is 3-5 (depending on the picture), and it should be adjusted downward without affecting the shape of the facial features.
3. Then comes color grading. I basically only use optional colors and color balance for color grading. This depends on personal preference.
4. There’s nothing to say about your favorite color. Everyone’s color sense is different, but I like to add blue to the skin, and add some blue to the black (hair).
5. Next, grind the skin. A filter is used here. You can try to adjust the values in it. The grinding intensity can achieve the effect of the intermediate value while retaining details.
Installation method: Save directly to the corresponding file: Program FilesAdobePhotoshop CS plug-in filter, this is the location inside 8 and 9
Save other versions to the Plug-ins folder in the installation directory, or open PS and select Edit-Presets-Plug-ins and Scratch Disk-Additional Plug-in Files-
Then connect to the folder where you store the filters and that’s it.
6. Blurring the surface is also microdermabrasion. Depending on the picture, it can be done or not.
7. After the skin is polished and the color is adjusted, pull it into SAI to draw.
(I used to use PS to draw the whole process, but later I found that after I became comfortable with SAI, I no longer felt the pens at all when using PS to draw pictures).
8. In fact, there are still a lot of rough spots in the polished skin in PS. Now I use the watercolor pen to repair it bit by bit (the watercolor pen has blurry strokes, and at the same time, it is not as limited as the blur tool.
Why! The expression ability is limited, but it is actually just a pen with a color mixing function, which is very suitable for skin resurfacing).
9. Let’s talk about watercolor pens next. I’ve talked about the effects of watercolors above. In fact, watercolor pens are not limited to skin polishing. Watercolor pens lower the color mixing, moisture content, and color extension. Try focusing on the pen.
It can also draw lines. While drawing lines, it can also remove noise and blend in with surrounding colors. It’s easy to use!
10. The effect of using watercolor pens.
11. Use watercolor pens and airbrush to draw eyes. Needless to say about airbrushing, everyone knows it.
12. Mouth: First, use a large stroke of watercolor pen to extract the color from the original picture. Sweep it twice to remove the dull spots, and then create a new layer using pink (high saturation). What is high saturation?
In fact, it means to add brighter colors to the top, “big strokes” + “gently” brushes twice. It can produce a pink and tender effect.
13. Add some reflection. I used sunshine yellow here, taking into account the reflection of surrounding colors. Draw the lip line, and refer directly to the original picture if you don’t know how. Because I used a watercolor brush before and a layer of color after that,
So the light and dark parts are no longer so obvious. Now we need to strengthen the light and dark, which means to paint the darker areas with a darker color and the lighter areas with a lighter color.
14. Draw a few strokes on the nose with a watercolor pen. The reason why I chose the watercolor pen instead of the airbrush is that the watercolor pen is more integrated with the original image (suitable for children with little art foundation, me too.)
15. Paint out the background and lightly swipe around the edges of the characters. A solid color background saves trouble and can highlight the characters in the picture.
16. Hair is an extremely complicated process. The most important thing is grouping. I am a scumbag in this regard. I first use a watercolor pen to lightly brush twice with large strokes to remove some details.
17. Make a base with canvas acrylic and absorb the natural color of the hair (it is recommended to absorb it to a slightly darker place). Because canvas acrylic has the ability to mix colors, if it is too light, the painting will become lighter and lighter. Pay attention to the layers.
18. In large groups, use a darker color pen to roughly divide the canvas into acrylic, and then paint in detail.
19. Set the brush to a small size, draw dark hair, and use the airbrush
20.Add hair strands
21. Paint high-gloss hair (pay attention to the layers)
22. Draw the eyes carefully and add light adjustment points.
23. Pay attention to the direction of the eyelashes. If you don’t know, you can look at the original picture. I like to draw the eyelashes denser, so it’s okay to pay attention to the general direction. The thinner the eyelashes, the direction of one of them only needs to be slightly offset.
It will feel very awkward. Remember to sweep the shadow of your eyelashes, don’t be too tight, because any object under the sun will definitely leave a shadow. Just swipe twice and the lower eyelashes will fit into the eyes.
Use the blur tool to blur it.
24. Use a soft-angle airbrush to gently sweep around the hair to make the character blend into the background.
25. Then take it to PS to adjust the color, and use the paint spray value 1-2 to sharpen it. It’s finished.
