Example of using Photoshop to create text effects in the deep sea – ordinary text effects

Look at the final effect first

Start making

1. Create a new 800*600 canvas! White background.

Create a new layer and fill it with gradient color! We start with a gradient color from yellow to red, set as follows.

Then adjust the blending mode of this layer to Exclude. Look at the effect~~~

2. Enter text~~~

I divide it into 2 layers for operation. The big a is a layer, and qua is a layer. Add effects individually!

3. Add layer effects to the big a.

Open the layer style, select the blending option, and set it as follows:

Projection, set as follows:

Outer glow, set as follows:

Bevel and relief, set as follows:

Gloss, set as follows:

Looks like a finished product! As follows:

4. Add effects to the text inside.

The blending options are set as follows:

Projection, set as follows:

Bevel and relief, set as follows:

Outer glow, set as follows:

Color overlay, set as follows:

The effect of the entire picture is as follows:

5. The text above is too monotonous~~ Let’s add some foil around the text~~

Create a new layer and add some round bubbles next to the text. Use the Ellipse tool in the Custom Shape tool to draw, one layer for each bubble.

Add a layer style to the bubbles.

Projection, set as follows:

Outer glow, set as follows:

Bevel and relief, set as follows:

After setting up, set different opacity for different bubbles, so the effect is very dreamy.

The effect is as shown below:

6. Use the brush tool to add some lines to the background. Lower the opacity of the line.

The following effect:

7. Click on the channel panel, create a new alpha channel, and fill the channel with a white to black gradient.

Little knowledge: The alpha channel is actually a kind of mask. Any effect can be added to the white part, while the black part remains completely intact.

8. Then click on the line layer drawn by our brush and click Select — Load Selection.

Select the selection to load alpha. At this time you will find irregular selections in the upper part.

Execute Filter—Distortion——Ocean Ripple, and after confirmation, you will see the effect~~Some ocean effects appear in the upper part.

9. Add some materials to our pictures, Xiaoyu is ready~~~

10. Click to create a new fill or adjustment layer under the layers panel and select “Pattern”.

Select a pattern with a cloud feel in the open pattern fill panel (you can find it in the default pattern, as long as it has a cloud feel), and set it as follows:

Change the blending mode of this layer to Soft Light.

See the following effect (if you use other patterns, you will see a different effect):

11. On the layer mask of the pattern layer created in the previous step, draw a white to black gradient from the upper left to the lower right. This will hide the cloud effect in the lower right corner.
