Understanding
Below is an “Action” panel. The “Default Action” action sequence is installed by default in PhotoShop. There are many actions in it. Just click on the triangle in front of each action. You can see that there are many commands, that is, this action requires these commands to be completed; the black box at the bottom is the editing control bar of the action, where we can play, record, stop, create, delete and other operations on the action. Example
Let’s do a simple example below. First, we need to create a new action sequence, because all actions are included in the action sequence. Click the “New Sequence” button under the action panel. (Picture 3)

Give the sequence a name in the pop-up “New Sequence” dialog box, click “OK” and the creation is complete. (Picture 4)

Next, you need to add actions to this action sequence. Click the “New Action” button under the action panel. (Picture 5)

Then the “New Action” dialog box will pop up. Enter the name of the action in the “Name” column; the “Function key” is equivalent to a shortcut key. For example, if you select the “F4” key, then after pressing F4, it will Execute this action; the “color” below refers to the color of the action, which can only be seen in button mode. Operate the action to be recorded once, and click the “Stop Recording” button under the action panel after completion. The recorded action will be saved in the action panel. When you want to use it, just select it, press F4 or click the “Play” button. That’s it. (Picture 7)

We can also save this action as a file so that we can communicate with others. Just click “Save Action” under the action panel menu and select a save location in the pop-up dialog box.

Tips
In some cases, we need to temporarily stop the action. This can be achieved by using the “Insert Stop” command under the action panel menu. Select an action and click the menu to select “Insert Stop” “. (Picture 8)

A “Recording Stop” dialog box will pop up. Fill in the content to be prompted in the “Information” inside, select “Allow to continue” below, and click “OK”.
