This tutorial introduces how to process wedding films with a strong sense of layering. The author used layer masks many times during processing. The advantage of using it is that you can control the range that needs to be toned or enhanced without affecting the parts that have been processed.

1. Open the original image material, create a Levels adjustment layer, select the Auto button, and simply adjust the light and dark contrast.
2. Create a new layer and press Ctrl + Alt + Shift + E to stamp the layer. Execute: Image > Apply Image, parameter settings are as shown below. The purpose is to deepen the dark parts and open up the light and dark levels of the sky. Then select the black channel transparent gradient and pull it from the lower part of the layer mask toward the middle to remove the unnecessary parts except the sky.
3. Create an optional color adjustment layer, adjust the green and yellow, and set the parameters as shown below.
4. Create a brightness/contrast adjustment layer to make the picture slightly brighter. The parameter settings are as shown below.
5. Create a new layer and stamp the layer. Change the layer blending mode to “Color Dodge” and the opacity to: 48% to further brighten the image. At the same time, add a layer mask to cover the parts of the sky and characters that do not need to be brightened.
6. Create an optional color adjustment layer and adjust the cyan, blue, white, and neutral colors. The parameter settings are as shown below. After confirming, use a black paintbrush to erase the unnecessary parts except the sky.
7. Create a hue/saturation adjustment layer and appropriately reduce the blue saturation. The parameters and effects are as shown below.
8. Create a new layer and stamp the layer. And copy the layer, select the Elliptical Marquee Tool to pull out an elliptical selection in the middle of the screen, feather it by 80 pixels, delete the selection content, change the layer blending mode to “Multiply”, and change the opacity to: 70%. Duplicate the layer again and change the opacity to: 33%. The purpose is to enhance the contrast between the upper and lower parts of the picture and highlight the brightness in the middle.
9. At this time, the mountains in the distance of the picture are relatively gray. In order to enhance the effect of the picture, it needs to be brightened and the color contrast needs to be enhanced. To this end, add a Levels adjustment layer and adjust the dark field and white field respectively. At the same time, cover the parts other than here on the mask.
10. At this time, it is found that there is still a magenta component in the sky in the upper right corner of the screen, which needs to be removed. Create Hue/Saturation ToneGo to the entire layer and desaturate and brighten the magenta and red respectively. The parameter settings are as shown below.
11. In order to unify the colors of the sky and the earth, it is necessary to continue to adjust the color of the sky. Create optional color adjustment layers and adjust white, neutral, and black respectively. The parameter settings are as shown below.
12. Create a Hue/Saturation adjustment layer, slightly reduce the saturation of the sky, and cover the parts except the sky in the layer mask.
13. Create a new layer, select the gradient from black to transparent, pull the vignetting from the distance to all sides, and change the layer blending mode to “Soft Light”, as shown below.
14. Create a new layer and stamp the layer. Do the noise reduction process, copy another layer, change the layer blending mode to “Soft Light”, change the opacity to: 45%, add a layer mask, and use a black brush to erase the characters, grass, and mountains, as shown below .
15. Create a Curves adjustment layer to brighten the character, and erase other parts in the layer mask.
